Razor mx650 Information

Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket is an electric motorcross bike, belonging to a line of dirt bikes from Razor. Now, there’s nothing ‘dirty’ about dirt bikes, as in actual fact, they are named that way for the fact that they can handle dirt in motocross sports. Compared to regular gasoline bikes, the Razor MX650 is an electric bike that works with far less noise, and is cheaper too. But the key thing is, does this bike really work? We tested it out, so let’s read on to find out. Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike

The Razor MX650 is basically a motocross dirt bike that has been scaled down, that is made smaller than the original full-sized bike. Despite, this scaling down, it is still made to ride just as well as it’s full-sized counterparts. At its size, it is most suitable for early teenagers around the age of 15, though if your kid is already going through a growth spurt a few years earlier, chances are this bike would fit him or her too.

Razor mx650 features

The model number of ’650′ here basically refers to the 650-watt motor that is chain-driven in the Razor MX650. It is surprisingly powerful yet quiet in its operation, capable of a top speed of about 17mph even through rough terrain and cross-country dirt trails. The batteries of the Razor MX650 consist of twin 12-volt lead acid batteries that can power the dirt bike for an average of 45 minutes, depending on rider weight and terrain conditions. It requires 6-8 hours charging time, and provides a mileage of about 10 miles or so on a full charge.

One of the key strengths of the Razor MX650 is its durability, being built with a solid yet flexible frame that is capable of handling the shocks of cross-country dirt riding. It has tyres of 16 inches and 14 inches that seem to grip the rough terrain comfortably, and it also comes with foldable metal pegs that allows the rider to park the bike securely when not in use. With the typical classic look and feel of a dirt bike, the pneumatics and dual suspension give quite a smooth, comfortable ride, whether on rough terrain or on the road. The rear suspension is adjustable, while the front suspension is that of a typical motorcross bike, and combined with the disc brakes, the overall ride and braking on the bike was pleasantly solid yet comfortable.

On the aesthetics of the Razor MX650, while the paintwork is typical of any bike that would eventually fall off from wear and tear, the good thing is the bike would still look cool and attractive even with its paintwork falling off. Of course, you may still opt to repaint it or stick some snazzy stickers on it to suit your preference.

Razor mx650 conclusion

The Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket is overall a great buy of a scaled-down motocross dirt bike, made slightly smaller for the fun and enjoyment of younger riders in early teens. But interestingly, even grown adults could have some kicks with it, as long as they don’t weight more than its limit of 220 lbs. Packed with a 90-day warranty, we do highly recommend this smaller version of a dirt bike which is quieter and cleaner as well being electric-powered.

The razor mx650 is manufactured by the Razor scooter company.
